Healthcare Innovation Lessons Learned with Jeff Feeney: A hospital administrator’s perspective

PAC hosts a semi-monthly On the Record (OTR) / Off the Record (OTR) conversation focused on Healthcare Innovation Lessons Learned.

During PAC’s inaugural healthcare OTR/OTR session, PAC leaders, Mary Beth Snodgrass and Jeanne Teshler, moderated a discussion with Jeff Feeney, a board advisor and healthcare executive who previously held leadership roles at health systems and startups, including Ascension, HCA Healthcare, and Health iPASS Inc. In the first half of the hour-long session, Jeff shared his experience and thoughts related to:

  • How he drove new initiatives in hospital systems as an ‘internal advocate’

  • The critical importance of building relationships with healthcare executives

  • Giving ‘star players’ the latitude they need to drive innovation forward

  • What CFOs want from innovators, in the absence of revenue generation opportunities

  • Patient digital experiences, ‘patient stickiness,’ and capital efficiency

The 2-minute video below highlights key excerpts from the conversation.

What are On the Record (OTR) / Off the Record (OTR) conversations?

The first half hour of each OTR/OTR is recorded, and clips of the recording are shared online ("On the Record"). The second part is an unrecorded, private Q&A with invited attendees (Off the Record").
